Mysterious cowboy Bob Norton arrives in the West, on the banks of the Rio Grande, at the 'Bar-V' ranch. Ostensibly seeking employment, Mr. Norton is revealed to be an undercover Texas Ranger. Norton wants to get a job at the 'Bar-V', and round-up evidence against newly appointed foreman, and all-around snake-in-the- grass , 'Buck' Bailey. Bailey is part of a scheme to steal cattle from square-shooting owner Jack Barton. After Norton saves daughters in distress Bonita and Flora Barton, Mr. Barton hires him to help around the ranch. Bailey plots to kill, while Norton and Bonita fall in love. Ah, the romance and intrigue of the Wild West!
