This film is based on a comedy by Edgar Selwyn. Harry and Betty are newlyweds whose marriage ends before it can be consummated due to Betty wanting her lawyer brother to travel with them on their honeymoon . Her brother advises her to sue him for divorce, so Harry hires someone to place Betty in an unflattering position so he can counter-sue. Once their divorce is final, the two realize they are still in love with each other, more than ever before.
