This is the earliest monster movie. It is a silent movie short set in Egypt. The film centers on an Egyptian prince whose life changes when he loses his beloved wife. He finds a dervish and seeks his help in having him see the visage of his wife. If he complies with him, the prince will provide him with tons of money. Hearing this, the dervish decides to help him. To help with the plan, he brings a repository that has the remnants of the princess. From there he takes the skeleton and places it on the ground near him. Then he performs a ritual where the skeleton begins to move and dance.
