Zsa Zsa Gabor ACTOR

Zsa Zsa Gabor was born on February 6th, 1917 in Budapest, Austria which is now Hungary.  Her birth name was Sári Gábor and she had one younger sister and one older sister.  Her parents were Vilmos Gábor and Jolie Gábor.  Gabor did her studying at Madame Subilia's which was a Swiss boarding school.
In 1936, she went on a trip to Viena where she was seen by a man named, Richard Tauber and he asked if she would like to come and sing in his operetta, "Der Singende Traum" which translated to, "The Singing Dream".  She was also crowned, Miss Hungary that same year.

In 1941 she followed her sister, Eva Gabor and immigrated to the United States.  She began with getting small roles on a number of television shows and bit parts in some films such as her film debut, "Lovely to Look At" (1952) followed by, " We're Not Married" and "Moulin Rouge" (both 1952). She was becoming quite a desirable actress as she was absolutely beautiful.

She continued to get cast in a number of supporting roles in films such as, "Lili" (1953), "3 Ring Circus" (1954), "Death of a Scoundrel" (1956) and "The Man Who Wouldn't Talk" (1958).  Even though she was staying busy with film wok, she continued to only get supporting roles.  However, as her career progressed, she began to get cast in films where she would portray herself such as, "Pepe" (1960) and "Jack of Diamonds" (1967).

Gabor also appeared in a number of television shows such as, "The Life of Riley" (1957), "Burke's Law" (1963-1964), "F Troup" (1966), "Bonanza" (1967) and "The Love Boat" (1980) along with many other appearances.

It was not necessarily her acting career that made her so famous and popular, but instead her personal life that brought so much attention to her.  She has been married a total of nine times and is currently still married to husband number nine today.  Her first marriage was to Burhan Asaf Belge from 1937 to 1941, she then married Conrad Hilton from 1942 to 1947.  Her third marriage was to George Sanders from 1949 to 1954.  Marriage number four was to Herbert Hutner from 1962 to 1966.  Gabor then married her fifth husband, Joshua Cosden Jr. in 1966 to 1967.  Her sixth time to wed was to Jack Ryan from 1976 to 1976.  Husband number seven was Michael O'Hara from 1976 to 1983.  Gabor then married for an eighth time to Felipe de Alba from April 13th, 1983 to April 14th, 1983, therefore this marriage was annulled.  Her final time to marry was to husband number nine, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, whom she is still married to today.  Her famous sister and her together have a total of eighteen divorces between the two of them.
She has been in the tabloids a number of times, not just for her professional life and number of marriages but she was also in the tabloids when she was pulled over by a police man for a traffic violation and was accused of slapping him.  For this incident, she served three days in jail and was ordered to do 120 hours of community service.  This incident was later poked fun at when she starred as herself in the film, "The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear" (1991).

When Gabor was eighty five, she was involved in a horrible car accident in West Hollywood, California.  She has had a number of health problems later in life such as in 2005, Gabor suffered a stroke and had to have emergency surgery to clear a blocked artery.  Then in 2990 she was hospitalized with influenza, followed by hip replacement surgery.  On January 14th, 2011 she had to have her right leg amputated.  In May 2011 Gabor was reported to have bleeding around her feeding tube and was rushed to the hospital with a coma which she came out of towards the end of May.

She remains to be one of the most popular female actresses of her era who always exudes charm and grace wherever she goes.
