VIVECA LINDFORS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Viveca Lindfors was born on December 29th, 1920 in Uppsala, Sweden with the birth name Elsa Viveca Torstensdotter Lindfors.  Her parents were Torsten Lindfors and Karin Dymling.  
 
She first began her involvement in the acting industry by receiving her training at the Royal Dramatic Theatre School in Stockholm, Sweden.  She began working as an actress in Sweden making quite a name for herself that she earned the attention of Hollywood and in 1946, Warner Brothers Studio's brought her to the United States where she appeared in her first Hollywood film with actor and former President, Ronald Reagan, "Night Unto Night" (1949).
 
As her career progressed she added to her resume over one hundred films such as, "Dark City", "King of Kings", "Creepshow", "Stargate", "Run for Cover" and "Suspense" among many others.
 
Along with her film career she also made a number of television appearances on such series as, "Playhouse 90", "The Doctors and the Nurses", "The Defenders", "Bonanza", "The F.B.I.", "Dynasty" and "Law and Order".
 
Some of her latest appearances were in, "Run for Cover" and "Last Summer in the Hamptons" (both 1995).  Along with still pursuing her acting career, she also taught acting at the School of Visual Arts in New York. 
 
She married numerous times throughout her life and had one child with her first three husbands.  She first married Harry Hasso from 1941-1943.  She then married Folke Rogard from 1944 through 1948.  Her third marriage was to director Don Siegel from 1948 through 1953.  She then married for her fourth and final time to George Tabori from 1953 through 1970.  
 
In 1995 she returned to Sweden, planning to tour with the play, "In Search of Strindberg", however, Lindfors passed away on October 25th, 1995 in Uppsala, Sweden after suffering from rheumatoid arthritis complications.
