TATUM O'NEAL BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Tatum O'Neal was born on November 5th, 1963 in Los Angeles, California with the middle name Beatrice, born to actor Ryan O'Neal and Joanna Moore.  In 1973 she won a competitive Oscar at the age of ten for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film, "Paper Moon" (1973).  

Being born into a family involved in the industry she quickly followed in her parents steps working as a child actress.  Early roles included, "The Bad News Bears" (1976) starring Walter Matthau, "Nickelodeon" (1976), "International Velvet" (1978), "Little Darlings" (1980) and "Circle of Two" (1980).

As she progressed from child actress to adult actress she slowed down dramatically on film roles.  Some roles during this time were on the films, "Basquiat" (1996) and "Little Noises" (1992).

When she did decide to return her focus back to acting, she began to take on a number of television roles such as, "Sex and the City", "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter", "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" and "Rescue Me".

More recently, she has appeared in the film, "My Brother" (2007), "Saving Grace" (2009), "The Runaways" (2010), "Last Will" (2010), "Sweet Lorraine" (2011) and her most recent film role, "Mr. Sophistication" (2012).
 
Although she has had a decent career in the industry, her personal life has suffered quite a bit of turmoil and she has been the focus of media coverage numerous times.  In the early 80's, she dated pop star Michael Jackson and at one point was married to famous tennis player, John McEnroe.  She has three children from this union which ended in 1994.  She lost custody of her children due to her drug addiction.  She claims that she was molested as a young girl and she published her memoirs in, "A Paper Life" exposing her troubled life as a child.
