STEPHEN MCHATTIE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Stephen McHattie was born on February 3rd, 1947 in Nova Scotia, Canada with the birth name Stephen McHattie Smith. After high school he went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he graduated from at the age of twenty one.
McHattie then went on to pursue a fulltime career as an actor with his most well known role being on, "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993) and another portraying, James Dean in the 1976 television movie, "James Dean: Portrait of a Friend".
Over the course of his career he has alternated between film and television work and has added over one hundred and fifty credits to his resume. Some of his more well known television appearances include, "Seinfeld", "The X-Files", "Emily of New Moon", "Dam-12", "Hill Street Blues", "Guiding Light", "Miami Vice", "L.A. law", "Cold Squad", "Walker, Texas Ranger", "Puppets Who Kill", "Diamonds" and "Happy Town".
McHattie has mostly focused on television work, however on occasion he appears on the big screen with such films as, "Moving Violation" (1976), "Grey Lady Down" (1978), "Caribe" (1987), "One Man Out" (1989), "Beverly Hills Cop III" (1994) starring Eddie Murphy, "My Friend Joe" (1996), "The Highwayman" (2000) and "Poor Boy's Game" (2007).
McHattie has married twice, first briefly to Meg Foster and when this marriage came to an end he married his current second wife Lisa Houle and together they have three children.
More recently he has appeared in the pilot, "Sabbatical" along with the Canadian film, "Pontypool" (2009) and the films, "The Tall Man" (2012), "Eddie: The Sleepwalking Cannibal" (2012) and soon to release in 2013, "Haunter".
