RUSS CONWAY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Russ Conway was born on April 25th, 1913 in Manitoba, Canada with the birth name Russell Clarence Zink.  After high school he went on to earn his college degree from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1937 and followed with earning his Masters Degree in theatre arts from UCLA and then also gained his teaching credentials.

He became most well known for portraying father, Fenton Hardy on the Hardy Boy sleuths Mickey Mouse Club series in the 1950's.  During world War II he took a break from acting to serve in the United States Army's special unit and then upon completing his military service he also served as a producer as well as announcer for the Armed Forces Radio in Japan. 
 
Conway then returned back to pursuing a career as an actor. 
 
In the late 1940's he began appearing on a number of small films taking on un-credited roles in, "The Web" (1947), "Buck Privates Come Home" (1947) starring Abbott and Costello, "The Naked City" (1948), "One Touch of Venus" (1948), "Larceny" (1948), "Flamingo Road" (1949) and "Arctic Manhunt" (1949) and Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956) starring Paul Newman.
 
As his career progressed he would add over 200 roles to his resume.  Some of his more well known film roles were in, "Safari Drums' (1953), "Top of the World" (1955), "The Looters" (1955), "Fort Dobbs" (1958), "The Bramble Bush" (1960), "Our Man Flint" (1966) and "Interval" (1973).
 
He mostly focused on television work and added a variety of series to his credits including, "The Whistler", "Cannon", "Chase", "The Lone Wolf", "The Lone Ranger", "Screen Directors Playhouse", "Navy Log", "The Web", "Crossroads", "M Squad", "Climax!", " State Trooper", "The Rough Riders", "The Californians", Mission: Impossible" and "The F.B.I." among many others. 

Russ Conway married only once to Muriel Morrison in 1946 and together they had two children and remained married until she passed away in 2006.  Just three years later Conway lost his life in Laguna Beach, California on January 12th, 2009.
