RONNY COX BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Ronny Cox was born on July 23rd, 1938 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico with the birth name Daniel Ronald Cox.  He has made a name for himself in the industry as a songwriter, singer and actor and has an active career for over thirty five years.
 
He was the third born of five children total to Lounette Rucker and Bob P. Cox.  He was raised in Portales, New Mexico and after high school, Cox went on to earn his college degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 1963 majoring in Theater and Speech Correction.
 
His career as an actor began making his film debut in 1972 on, "Deliverance" starring with Burt Reynolds, Jon Voight and Ned Beatty followed by a recurring role on the television series, "Apple's Way" (1974-1975).  Other television series he has appeared on over the course of his career are, "St. Elsewhere", "Cop Rock", "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Desperate Housewives" and "The Starter Wife".
 
He has also made quite a name for himself in the film industry appearing in such features as, "Gray Lady Down" (1978), "The Onion Field" (1979), "Taps" (1981), "Robocop" (1987), "Total Recall" (1990), "Murder at 1600" (1997), "Beverly Hills Cop" (1984) starring Eddie Murphy and "Beverly Hills Cop II" ( 1987). 
 
More recently, Cox has appeared on the television series, "Tell Me You Love Me" (2007) and the films, "Imagine That" (2009) and "Dexter" (2011).  
 
In addition to his acting roles, he has also done voice over work in, "Invasion America", "Spawn" and the video game, "Killzone" (2004).  He is also a very talented musician and has released a total of five CD's to date which are a mixture of jazz, folk and western type music.   
 
Ronny Cox has married only once to Mary Cox in 1960 and they had two children and remained together until she passed away in 2006.  He remains working in the industry touring frequently with a music band and also performs in local theater and music festivals.
