REX REASON BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Rex Reason was born on November 30th, 1928 in Berlin, Germany with the birth name Rex George Reason Jr. His family were actually American but he was born in Europe when they had traveled there on business.

He was raised in Los Angeles and first developed an interest in acting while attending Glendale's Hoover High School. He participated in such school productions as, "Seventh Heaven" amongst others.

After high school he decided to join the United States Army and when he completed his military service he enrolled at the Pasadena Playhouse and began to gain some more stage experience.

By 1952 he debuted in his first film, "Storm Over Tibet" and followed this role with a number of other small parts in such films as, "Salome" (1952), "Mission Over Korea" (1953) with Columbia Pictures and "Taza, Son of Cochise" (1954) starring Rock Hudson.

He then signed with Universal and appeared in such films as, "Smoke Signal" (1955), "This Island Earth" (1955), "Kiss of Fire" (1955), "Raw Edge" (1956) and "Badlands of Montana" (1957).

Along with taking on film work he also appeared on such television series as, "Lux Video Theatre" (1954-1955), "Matinee Theatre" (1956), "The Millionaire" (1956), "Conflict" (1957) "Man Without a Gun" (1957-1959), "77 Sunset Strip" (1960) and "The Roaring 20's" (1960).

In 1962 he walked away from his film contract with Warner Brothers and decided to leave the entertainment industry for good after his final appearances on the television series, "Wagon Train" and "Perry Mason". He chose to pursue another career as a real estate broker and did do occasional voice over work.

Rex Reason has married three times throughout his lifetime, first to Elois Seybert in 1952 and they had two children together before the marriage ended in divorce in 1960. He then married Sanita Pelkey in 1962 however by 1963 this marriage also came to an end. His third and present wife is Shirley Hake and they wed in 1968 and have three children together and reside in Walnut, California.
