Along with film he appeared on such television series as, "Maverick", "One Step Beyond", "Bewitched", "Kentucky Jones", "It Takes a Thief", "The Queen and I" and "Run for Your Life".

He later returned to stage acting and one of his final performances was in Broadway's, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (1972).

Reginald Owen married three times throughout his lifetime, first to Lydia Bilbrook in 1908 however by 1923 this marriage came to an end.  He then married actress, Mrs. Harold Austin and together they had two children before the marriage ended in divorce in 1956.  His third and final wife was Barbara Haveman whom he wed in 1956 and they remained married until he passed away on November 5th, 1972 in Boise, Idaho after suffering from a heart attack at the age of eighty five.  His remains are interred in Boise's Morris Hill Cemetery.
