RAY LIOTTA BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Ray Liotta was born on December 18th, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey with the birth name Raymond Allen Liotta.  At the age of six months he was adopted from an orphanage by Mary and Alfred Liotta.  After graduating from Union High School he went on to study acting at the university of Miami and when he first decided on a career in the entertainment industry he began with working as a television actor.
 
Some of his earlier roles included appearances on such series as, "Another World", "St. Elsewhere" and "Casablanca" among with some small television movie roles.  By the mid 80's, he began working in the film industry adding such credits to his resume as, "Something Wild" (1986) starring with Jeff Daniels and Melanie Griffith, "Dominick and Eugene" (1988), "Field of Dreams" (1989) starring Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones and Burt Lancaster in his final film, "Goodfellas" (1990) starring alongside Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Paul Sorvino and Lorraine Bracco and which was nomited 4 times for a Golden Globe and nominated for 6 Academy Awards and Joe Pesci won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and "Operation Dumbo Drop" (1995).
 
He had really begun to make a name for himself in the industry and had proved to Hollywood that he could portray an array of character types.  As his career has progressed other film credits include, "Article 99" (1992) also starring Keifer Sutherland and Forest Whitaker, "Unlawful Entry" (1992) co-starring Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe, "Unforgettable" (1996), "Cop Land" (1997) with an ensemble cast featuring Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, Robert De Niro, Michael Rapaport, Robert Patrick, Peter Berg, Arthur Nascarella and John Spencer, "Blow" (2001) starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz and "Identity' (2003) co-starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Alfred Molina, Clea DuVall and Rebecca De Mornay.
 
Along with film roles he has added such television credits as, "ER", "Smith", "Hannah Montana" and voice over work for, "Spongebob SquarePants".
 
Most recently, Liotta has appeared on the films, "Observe and Report" (2009), "Date Night" (2010) starring with Steve Carell, Tina Fey and Mark Wahlberg, "Snowmen" (2010) and the following films are all in pre-production, "Bad Karma", "Yellow", "The Devil's in the Details", "The Place Beyond the Pines" starring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes, "The Iceman" starring Michael Shnnon and Winona Ryder, "Pawn", "Sleight of Hand", "Into the Americas" and "The Rut".
 
Ray Liotta has married only once to Michelle Grace whom he wed in 1997 and they had one child together before the marriage came to an end in 2004.  He has not re-married and resides in Palisades, California.
