PERRY KING BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Perry King was born on April 30th, 1948 in Alliance, Ohio born the fourth of five children total. After high school he went on to earn a college degree in theatre from Yale University and then went on to study acting at the Julliard School.

Perry first began acting in films in 1972 with a role on, "Slaughterhouse-Five". Over he course of his career he has added fifty film and television spots. Some film credits include, "The Possession of Joel Delaney" (1972), "The Lord of Flatbush" (1974) also starring Sylvester Stallone, Henry Winkler and Susan Blakely, "Lipstick" (1976), "A Different Story" (1978), "Class of 1984" (1982), "The Clairvoyant" (1982)", "Switch" (1991) and "The Day After Tomorrow" (2004).

Some of his more well known television roles were on the television movie, "The Hasty Heart" (1984) for which he received a Golden Globe Award. Other well known roles include the series, "Medical Center" (1973), "Hawaii Five-O" (1974), "Riptide" (1984) portraying Cody Allen, "Burke's Law" (1995), "Melrose Place" (1995), "Titans" (2000), "Spin City" (2002), "Will & Grace" (2000), "Without a Trace" (2006) and "Cold Case" (2007).

King has also done voice over work as Han Solo in the radio broadcast, "Star Wars" series as well as voice over work for the CD-ROM game, "Emergency Room".

He devotes his free time being on the advisory board at the American Academy helping to coach students. He is also the spokesperson for the Olive Crest Homes for Abused Children in Orange county.

In addition to his career as an actor, he is also a race car driver. In 1986 he won the Long Beach Grand Prix Toyota Pro-Celebrity Race. He is also an avid motorcyclist owning over thirty motorcycles and in 2008 he became the Board of Directors for AMA.

Perry King has married twice, first in 1967 to Karen Hryharrow and they had one daughter together before the marriage came to an end in 1979. He then married Jamie Elvidge in 1990 and they had one daughter together before this marriage also ended in divorce.

More recently he has appeared in the television movie, "Happiness Isn't Everything" (2009), the film, "Bad Blood: The Hatfields and McCoys" (2013) and the television series, "Big Love", "Drop Dead Diva" and "The Mentalist".
