Pamela Tiffin ACTOR

PAMELA TIFFIN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Pamela Tiffin was born on October 13th, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with the birth name Pamela Tiffin Wonso.  She was raised in Chicago and first entered the entertainment industry working as a model.

After high school, Tiffin moved to New York to pursue her modeling career and enrolled in Hunter college.  When her career began to take off, she left college early to focus fulltime on modeling.

Tiffin visited California and came in contact with producer Hal Wallis who took a liking to her and cast her in the film, "Summer and Smoke" (1961), a role for which she earned two Golden Globe Award nominations.

Soon she began to add more film roles to her resume such as, "One, Two, Three" (1961) starring James Cagney, Horst Buchholz, Arlene Francis, Leon Askin and Howard St. John, "The Pleasure Seekers" (1964) co-starring starring Ann Margret, Anthony Franciosa, Carol Lynley, Gardner McKay, Brian Keith and Gene Tierney, "The Lively Set" (1964) starring James Darren, Joanie Sommers, Doug McClure and Marilyn Maxwell, "For Those Who Think Young" (1964) starring alongside James Darren, Bob Denver, Tina Louise, Nancy Sinatra, Paul Lynde and Ellen Burstyn, "The Hallelujah Trail" (1965) starring Burt Lancaster, Lee Remick, Brian Keith, Donald Pleasence, Robert J. Wilke, Dub Taylor, Whit Bissell and Martin Landau and "Harper" (1966) starring Paul Newman, Lauren Bacall, Julie Harris and Janet Leigh.

Tiffin then decided to travel to Italy and added such film credits as, "Torture Me But Kill Me with Kisses" (1968), "Straziami, ma di baci saziami" (1968) and "The Almost Perfect Crime" (1969).  In the mid 1970's, she decided to retire from the industry and focus on her personal life.

In 1969 she did pose for Playboy but was pictured tastefully nude and always refused to ever do a complete spread.  She also always had a body double for any nude scenes in films she worked on and appeared on the television series, "The Fugitive" starring David Janssen in 1963.

Pamela Tiffin is currently married to Edmondo Danon whom she wed in 1974 and they have two children and reside in New York City.  She was married once before to Clay Felker from 1962 through 1969.
