MORGAN FAIRCHILD BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Morgan Fairchild was born on February 3rd, 1950 in Dallas, Texas with the birth name Patsy Ann McClenny to Martha Jane and Edward Milton McClenny. She has one sister, Cathryn Hartt who also pursued a career as an actress.
Fairchild developed an interest in acting from a young age and studied drama. She performed in local plays and later found work in dinner theater and a number of stock productions.
After graduating from Lake Highlands High School in 1967, her first acting job was directly in the film, "Bonnie and Clyde" where she worked as a double for Faye Dunaway. She then decided to relocate to New York City to pursue acting as a fulltime career.
After attending a number of auditions, she was cast on the daytime soap opera, "Search for Tomorrow" (1973-1977). This role was followed by a number of television appearances on such series as, "Happy Days", "Kojak", "Dallas", "Police Woman", "CBS Radio Mystery Theatre" and a recurring role on, "Mork & Mindy" (1978-1979).
She then made the move west to Los Angeles to pursue more roles in Hollywood. In 1980, Fairchild earned her first Golden Globe Award nomination for her role on the television series, "Flamingo Road". This series was cancelled shortly after airing, but she continued to work as an actress appearing on, "Hotel", "Simon & Simon", "Magnum, P.I.", "The Love Boat", "Paper Dolls" and one of her most well known roles came in 1985 when she joined the cast of, "Falcon Crest".
In 1989, Fairchild earned an Emmy Award nomination for her role on the television series, "Murphy Brown". She was becoming a highly desired actress in television and continued to appear on more series such as, "Roseanne" (1992), "Perry Mason" (1993), "Murder, She Wrote" (1993), "Burke's Law" (1994), "Empty Nest" (1994) and "The City" (1995-1996), for which she had a recurring role for one year.
Other credits she added to her resume were on, "General Hospital", "Friends", "Cybill", "Fashion House", "Chuck" and "The Bold and the Beautiful". More recently she has continued to grace the television screen with roles in, "Nip/Tuck" (2009), "My Name is Earl" (2009), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2010), "Bones" (2011) and "Happily Divorced" (2012).
Along with her career as an actress she is also the author of the book, "Super Looks" which talks about diet, make up and exercise tips.
Morgan Fairchild has married only once to Jack Calmes in 1967 and they remained together until 1973. She has been dating for over twenty five years, Mark Seiler who works as a film executive, but says they have no plans to marry.
