MOLLY RINGWALD BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Molly Ringwald was born on February 18th, 1968 in Roseville, California with the middle name Kathleen.  At the age of six she was already involved in entertainment when she released her first album titled, "I Wanna Be Loved By You".  She was inspired by music from the influence of her father who is, Bob Ringwald and a blind jazz pianist and her mother is Adele Edith.
 
At the age of ten she began performing as a stage actress, first in a production of, "Annie" in 1978 followed by her first television role in, "Different Strokes" (1979) and then on the television series, "The Facts of Life" (1979). 
 
Along with now working as an actress, Ringwald was still performing music and was chosen to be the lead vocalist in two Disney albums.  Her big break through role came in 1984 in the film, "Sixteen Candles".
 
As her career progressed she appeared on the big screen in such films as, "The Breakfast Club" (1985), "Pretty in Pink" (1986), "The Pick-up Artist" (1987) and "Fresh Horses" (1988).   
 
At the height of her career, Ringwald turned down two roles that turned out to be very successful films, "Ghost" and "Pretty Woman".  She did however return to television work and was seen on, "The Stand" (1996) and the television sitcom, "Townies". 
 
Some of her later roles were in, "Not Another Teen Movie" (2001) and the television movie, "The Wives He Forgot" (2006).  Ringwald also returned back to her love of working as a stage performer and was seen in such Broadway productions as, "Sweet Charity" and "Enchanted April".    
 
Ringwald ahs married twice throughout her lifetime.  Her first husband was Valery Lameignere from 1999 through 2002.  She then married Panio Gianopoulos in 2007 and they have three children, a daughter named Mathilda and twins Adele and Roman.  The couple remain married today and in 2010 she published her first book, "Getting the Pretty Back".  
 
Lately, Ringwald worked on the series, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" (2008-2011) and the film, "Psych" (2011).
