Luke Perry ACTOR

Luke Perry was born on October 11th, 1965 in Mansfield, Ohio with the birth name Coy Luther Perry III, born to Ann Bennett and Coy Luther Perry Jr.  After graduating in 1984 from Fredericktown High School he began to pursue a career as an actor.
He relocated to New York and began auditioning for commercials.  He has said that he went on over 215 auditions before he finally booked his first role.  His persistence paid off as he was soon appearing on such television series as, "Loving" (1987-1988) and "Another World" (1988-1989).
Luke soon was cast in his most well known role on the television series, "Beverly Hills, 90210" playing Dylan McKay.  The series ran for ten years.  While working on the show he also worked on such films as, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992), "Terminal Bliss" (1992) and "8 Seconds" (1994).
In 1995, he chose to leave the series and concentrate on more mature roles being seen on the big screen in such features as, "Normal Life" (1996), "Riot" (1997) and "The Fifth Element" (1997).
For financial reasons, in 1998 he returned to "Beverly Hills 90210" and remained with the series until it ended in 2000.  As his career progressed it was not too hard for him to remain in the industry and not be typecast from his teenage role.  He appeared in the films, "Storm" (1999), "The Sandlot: Heading Home" (2007) and "A Gunfighter's Pledge" (2008).
Along with working in films he also appeared on a number of television series.  Some of which were, "Spin City" (1997), "Jeremiah" (2002-2004), "Will and Grace" (2005), "What I Like About You" (2005), "Windfall" (2006), "John from Cincinnati" (2007) and "Criminal Minds" (2008).
In addition to film and television work, Perry has done a variety of voice over projects for such shows as, "Family Guy", "The Simpsons", "Johnny Bravo", "Biker Mice from Mars", "The Incredible Hulk", "Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm" and "The Night of the Headless Horseman".
Perry has also done some stage productions on Broadway such as appearing in the musical, 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (2001) and "When Harry Met Sally" (2004).
More recently he has appeared in the Swedish film, "Äntligen Midsommar" (2009), the television movie, "Angel and the Badman" (2009), the film, "Goodnight for Justice" (2011) and the television series, "Body of Proof" (2012).
Luke Perry has married only one time to Rachel Sharp, also known as Minnie in 1993 and they had two children before this marriage came to an end in 2003.  Perry currently resides in Los Angeles California and also owns a home in Vanleer, Tennessee.
