Linda Evans ACTOR


Linda Evans was born on November 18th, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut with the birth name Linda Evanstad.  She was the second of three daughters and her parents both worked as professional dancers.  When she was only six months old, her family relocated to Hollywood, California and she took drama in school. 
She attended high school at Hollywood High and began getting more involved with acting as a teenager.
Linda first starred in an episode of, "Bachelor Father: A Crush on Bentley" (1960) starring John Forsythe, followed by roles on, "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" (1960-1962), "Wagon Train", "Outlaws" and as a recurring role on, "The Big Valley" (1965-1969) starring her on screen family members Barbara Stanwyck, Richard Long, Lee Majors and Peter Breck
Evans is best known for her role as Krystle on, "Dynasty" (1981) co-starring John Forsythe and Joan Collins and due to the name of her character on this series she was also seen in an ad campaign for Crystal Light beverages in 1984.  

Other television appearances Evans has made throughout her career have been on, "The Rockford Files", "Mannix", "Harry O", "Banacek", "McCloud" and "McMillan & Wife.

In 1980 Linda appeared in "Tom Horn" starring Steve McQueen which also featured Richard Farnsworth and Elisha Cook Jr.

Linda Evans has married twice, first to John Derek from 1968 through 1974.  She then married Stan Herman in 1975 and remained married until 1981.  She has never had any of her own children and has not remarried.
Along with being a working actress, Linda Evans also owns fifteen Linda Evans Fitness Centers and in 1983 she wrote, "The Linda Evans Beauty and Exercise" book.  She also appeared in Playboy Magazine and she was actually the camera lady who filmed the crash of Evil Knievel's famous motorcycle jump off the fountains at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. 
Some of her recent appearances were in 1991 when she returned to her role of Krystle for, "Dynasty: The Reunion" and in 2009 on the United Kingdom's reality television series, "Hell's Kitchen" which she won.  She also hosted infomercials for Rejuvenique which is a mask that helps tone facial muscles.   

She has been nominated five times for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Drama series between 1982 and 1986.  Evans also won the People's Choice Award five times as favorite Actress in a Drama Series from 1982-1986.  For her contribution to the television industry, Evans was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
