KELLY PRESTON BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Kelly Preston was born on October 13th, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii with the birth name Kelly Kamalelehua Palzis. At the age of three her father drowned and her mother soon re-married and Preston spent her childhood living in Iraq as well as Australia.

She received her early years education at Pembroke School in Australia as well as Punahou School. Later, Preston went on to enroll at the University of Southern California and studied drama.

Her career in the industry began when she was sixteen years old and a fashion photographer took notice of her and helped her find commercial work in Australia. Her early career roles were appearances on such television series as, "Hawaii-Five-O" (1980), "Lone Star" (1983), "Quincy, M.E." (1983), "Renegade" (1983) and "CHiPS" (1983).

It did not take too long before Preston was appearing in such films as, "Mischief" (1985), "Secret Admirer" (1985), "Spacecamp" (1986), "Twins" (1988), "Jerry Maguire" (1996) starring Tom Cruise and "HolyMan" (1998).

As her career in the industry continued, Preston graced the big screen in such feature films as, "Daddy and Them" (2001), "View from the Top" (2003), "What a Girl Wants" (2003), "Euology" (2004), "Return to Sender" (2004) and "Sky High" (2005).

More recently, Preston has been seen on the television series, "Medium" (2008), "Suburban Shootout" (2008) and the films, "From Paris with Love" (2010), "The Last Song" (2010) and soon to release, "Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father" (2012).

Kelly Preston has married twice throughout her lifetime, first to Kevin Gage from 1986 through 1988. She then married her current husband, actor John Travolta in 1991 and they have three children and remain married today. In 2009, their son, Jett passed away while the family vacationed in the Bahamas. His cause of death was ruled a seizure and there was a lot of media attention on the situation with three people being arrested for connection with a multi-million dollar extortion plot on Travolta and Preston.

Since 2005, Preston has also been a spokesperson for Neutrogena and along with her acting career, she dedicated countless hours to the Children's Health Environmental Coalition, which is a non-profit organization that educates parents about environmental toxins that can potentially affect a child's health.
