KELLY MCGILLIS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Kelly McGillis was born on July 9th, 1957 in Newport Beach, California with the middle name Ann, born to Joan and Donald McGillis. Prior to earning her high school diploma, McGillis left early in pursuit of a career as an actress.

McGillis later earned a degree from Julliard in Manhattan and Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts in Santa Monica, CA. While trying to find work as a working actress, McGillis supported herself by waiting tables and working as a stage actress.

Soon she was appearing on the big screen in such features as, "Reuben, Reuben" (1983), "Witness" (1985) co-starring Harrison Ford and Danny Glover, "Top Gun" (1986) starring with Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Meg Ryan and Tom Skerritt and "Ha-Holmim" (1987) starring with John Shea and Arnon Zadok.

Now earning a name for herself in Hollywood, McGillis added more prominent roles to her resume with such films as, "The Accused" (1988) starring with Jodie Foster, "Winter People" (1989) starring alongside Kurt Russell, Lloyd Bridges, Mitch Ryan and Jeffrey Meek, "Cat Chaser" (1989) starring with Peter Weller and Charles Durning, "The Babe" (1992) starring John Goodman as Babe Ruth and Bruce Boxleitner, "North" (1994) starring Elijah Wood, Bruce Willis, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jon Lovitz, Dan Aykroyd, Reba McEntire and Alan Arkin, "At First Sight" (1999) also starring Val Kilmer and Mira Sorvino and "The Monkey's Mask" (2000) co-starring Susie Porter and Abbie Cornish.

Along with her film work she still appeared in a variety of stage productions such as, "The Merchant Venice", "Don Juan", "Twelfth Night", "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream". She has also added the television series credits, "The Outer Limits", "One Life to Live", "Dark Eyes" and "Live from Lincoln Center".

Kelly McGillis has married three times throughout her lifetime. Her first husband was Boyd Black whom she wed in 1979 however by 1981 this marriage ended in divorce. Her second husband was Fred Tillman. They married in 1989 and had two children before divorcing in 2002. She then married Melanie Leis in 2010 and now lives with another girlfriend, Lynn.

Most recently Kelly has starred in the films, "Grand Street" (2012), "Tio Papi" (2012) and soon to release, "We Are What We Are" (2013). She also dedicated her spare time to working with drug addicts and alcoholic at Seabrook House Drug Alcohol rehab Center in New Jersey and resides in Asheville, North Carolina.
