In 1995 instead of working on he sequel, "Speed 2: Cruise Control" he chose to take a role in the stage production of, "Hamlet" in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After taking on some more film roles, that were not as successful at the box office, Reeves then made a come back with his roles in the films, "The Gift" (2000), "The Matrix Reloaded" (2003), "The Matrix Revolutions" (2003), "A Scanner Darkly" (2006), "Street Kings" (2008), "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (2008) and "The Private Life of Pippa Lee" (2009).
