Kay Lenz ACTOR

Kay Lenz was born on March 4th, 1953 in Los Angeles, California with the middle name Ann.  She was born into a family already established in show business.  Her father, Ted Lenz worked as a producer and her mother, Kay Miller Lenz was a model and radio engineer.
As a baby, Lenz was already appearing on commercials and a television show that was produced by her father.  She continued working in the industry as a child actress and as a teenager she began appearing in stage productions such as, "Dark of the Moon" at the Pasadena Playhouse.
Some of her early television roles were on, "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960), "The Monroes" (1966) and "Ironside" (1967).  Along with her television work she was also getting work in the film industry in such films as, "Breezy" (1973), "White Line Fever" 91975), "The Great Scout & Cathouse Thursday" (1976), "Mean Dog Blues" (1978) and "House" (1986).
Kay became very well known for her role in, "Rich Man, Poor Man" (1976) for which she earned a nomination for an Emmy and also won an Emmy for her role in, "Midnight Caller" (1989).  As her career has progressed she has been seen on such series as, "ER" (2000), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2002), "House M.D." (2007), "Cold Case" (2009) and the film, "The Secret Lives of Dorks" (2011).  
She married only one time to actor, David Cassidy in 1977 but the marriage ended in 1983.  She has no children of her own and has not re-married.
