JUNE LOCKHART BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
June Lockhart was born on June 25th, 1925 in New York City, New York to parents Gene and Kathleen Lockhart who were both actors. She was an only child and already at a young age was introduced to the entertainment industry.
By the age of eight she made her professional debut in a Opera production of, "Peter Ibbetson". In the mid 1930's, to help with her fathers career, they relocated to Los Angeles, California where June's father was one of the more highly desired screen actors of his time. June also had a chance to help pursue her career and in 1938, she made her film debut on, "A Christmas Carol" in which she appeared on the big screen with both her parents. She also appeared on, "Meet Me in St. Louis" (1944), "She-Wolf of London" (1946) and "The Yearling" (1946).
As her film career progressed, she starred in a number of films throughout the mid 40's and also made her return back to the stage appearing in the Broadway production, "For Love or Money" (1947) which was such an outstanding performance she won a Tony, a Donaldson and a Theatre Award all for her work from this one specific production.
She has alongside her successful film and stage career made a number of television appearances on such shows as, "Lassie" (1954), "Lost in Space" (1965), "Wagon Train" (1958-1960) and "The Red Skelton Hour" (1967-1969).
