JULIETTE LEWIS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Juliette Lewis was born on June 21st, 1973 in Los Angeles, California to parents, Geoffrey Lewis, an actor and Glenys Batley. She had four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. As a young girl she always knew she wanted to grow up and work in the entertainment industry. By the age of twelve she was already appearing on television in, "Home Fires" (1987) along with such roles in the television series, "The Wonder Years" (1988) and "The Facts of Life" (1988). She dropped out of high school just three weeks after being enrolled and focused 100% on a acting career.
Soon she was cast in her first film role alongside Chevy Chase in, "Christmas Vacation" (1989). Other film roles soon followed such as, "Crooked Hearts" (1991) and "Cape Fear" (1991), for which she earned an Oscar nomination and Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Although she was only sixteen years old, she was already making quite a name for herself in the industry and had no intentions of slowing down. She added to her resume the television movie, "Too Young to Die" (1990) which also starred Brad Pitt.
As her career progressed she graced the silver screen in such films as, "Husbands and Wives" (1992), "Kalifornia" (1993), "Romeo Is Bleeding" (1993), "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" (1993), "Natural Born Killers" (1994), "Mixed Nuts" (1994), "Strange Days" (1995), 'From Dusk Till Dawn" (1996), "The Evening Star" (1996), "The Other Sister" (1999) and "Starsky & Hutch" (2004).
In addition to working as a film actress, Lewis also turned her attention to focus on a music career releasing such soundtracks as, "These Boots Are made for Walking" (1994), "Hardly Wait" (1995), "Feeling Alright" (2001) and "Uh Huh" (2010). Up until 2009 she was in a band called Juliette and the Licks. She has now formed a new band called, and originally changed the bands name to the New Romantiques but reverted back to the original name.
Juliette has also made numerous television appearances on such TV movies as, "My Louisiana Sky" (2001), "Hysterical Blindness" (2002) and "Chasing Freedom" (2004). Lewis also worked on a variety of television series such as, "Free For All", "Memphis Beat", "My Name is Earl" and as the character, Tammy on, "The Firm".
Lewis has married only one time to a professional skateboarder, Stephen Berra in 1999 however, by 2005 this marriage ended in divorce but the couple remain friends.
More recently she has added such film credits to her resume as, "Whip It" (2009), "Metropia" (2009), "The Switch" (2010), "Sympathy Delicious" (2010), "Conviction" (2010), "Due Date" (2010) and soon to release in 2012, "Open Road".
