JOSH DUHAMEL BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Josh Duhamel was born on November 14th, 1972 in Minot, North Dakota with the birth name Joshua David Duhamel, born to Larry and Bonny Duhamel. he has three younger sisters. After high school he went on to study at Minot State University and also played college football. He originally studied biology and planned on pursuing a career as a dentist. It was by chance that he fell into an acting career when a modeling scout took notice of him.
In 1997, he was awarded the title of Male Model of the year in an International Modeling and Talent Association competition. He began studying acting with Scott Sedita Acting Studio's and gained some experience appearing in a number of music videos.
Soon he was appearing in a number of commercials and in 2005 he was cast in his first film role, "The Picture of Dorian Gray". This role followed with his first real break as a regular on the soap opera, "All My Children" (1970), a role for which he received three Daytime Emmy nominations as well as an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
After working on the show for three years he decided to leave the series and relocate back to Los Angeles. Soon many other doors began to open for him. He was cast in the television series, "Las Vegas" (2003-2008) starring James Caan, Nikki Cox, James Lesure, Molly Sims, Vanessa Marcil, Marsha Thomason and Tom Selleck for the final season, and has also added such film credits as, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (2009), "The Romantics" (2010) co-starring Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin, Dianna Agron, Malin Akerman, Adam Brody, Candice Bergen and Elijah Wood, "When in Rome" (2010) with Kristen Bell, Lee Pace, Efren Ramirez, Alexa Havins, Kristen Schaal, Dax Shepard, Will Arnett, John Heder, Alexis Dziena, Anjelica Huston, Luca Calvani, Danny DeVito, Kate Micucci, Don Johnson, Bobby Moynihan and Luca Calvani, "Ramona and Beezus" (2010) starring with Joey King, Selena Gomex, Bridget Moynahan, Hutch Dano, Ginnifer Goodwin, Sandra Oh, John Corbett, Jason Spevak, Sierra McCormick, Michael Jordan, Janet Wright, Andrew McNee and Lynda Boyd and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" (2011).
Josh Duhamel is currently married to Stacy Ferguson since 2009. She is a lead vocalist in the popular band, "The Black Eyed Peas" known by many as "Fergie". The couple reside in Brentwood, California and most recently Duhamel has appeared in the films, "Fire with Fire" (2012) and soon to release in 2013, "Scenic Route", "Movie 43", "Safe Haven" and "Stanno".
