JOHN SCHNEIDER BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

John Schneider was born on April 8th, 1960 in Mount Kisco, New York with the birth name John Richard Schneider III. At the age of two his parents marriage ended in divorce and by the age of eight he had begun to develop an interest in acting.

He began with performing as a stage actor in New York and at the age of fourteen he relocated to Atlanta with his mother. He began appearing on such in a number of productions at the local theater and in 1977 was given the chance for a small role in the film, "Smokey and the Bandit" starring Jackie Gleason, Burt Reynolds and Sally Field.

After graduating from North Springs High School in Atlanta, GA he began to focus more on a fulltime career as an actor. After gaining a little more experience in the television movies, "Dream House" (1981), "The Raccoons and the Lost Star" (1983) and "Happy Endings" (1983) he got his big break starring on the television series, "The Dukes of Hazard" (1983) portraying Bo Duke.

Other television credits he has added to his resume over the course of his career include appearances on, "Burke's Law", "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman", "Relic Hunter", "Touched by an Angel", "Smallville", "Desperate Housewives", "90210", "10,000 Days", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Dirty Sexy Money", "Nip/Tuck" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" among many others.

Schneider has also added a decent amount of film roles to his resume such as, "The Curse" (1987), "Exit to Eden" (1994), "The Little CHP" (1995), "Hidden Secrets" (2006), "Sydney White" (2007) and "Beautiful Loser" (2008). He also wrote, produced and directed his own film series, "John Schneider's Collier & Co. Hot Pursuit".

Along with his career as an actor he has also made a name for himself as a country music artist releasing such hit songs as, "I've Been Around Enough To Know", "Country Girl", "What's a memory Like You Doing in a Love Like This" and "You're the Last Thing I Needed Tonight". Also, along with Marie Osmond, they co-founded the Children's Miracle Network charity organization which helps raise funds for children's hospitals.

John Schneider has married twice, first to Tawny Little from 1983 through 1986. He then married Elly Castle in 1993 and they have three children together and remain married today. Most recently he has added to his credits roles on the television series, "Happily Divorced" (2012) and the films, "Hardflip" (2012), "Season of Miracles" (2013), "Return of the Killer Shrews" (2012), "Lukewarm" (2012), "Doonby" (2012) and still in pre-production, "Unbelievable!!!!!" (2012) and "Into the Darkness" (2013).
