JOHN CUSACK BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
John Cusack was born on June 28th, 1966 in Evanston, Illinois with the middle name Paul.  He was born into a family already involved in the industry.  His father, Dick Cusack was an actor and all his siblings also pursued acting.  As a young boy he was already performing in a number of stage productions and also was doing voice over work for commercials as well as adding small film roles to his resume.
 
He graduated from Evanston Township High School and by the age of seventeen he made his first feature film debut in, "Class" (1983) followed by roles in, "Sixteen Candles" (1984), "The Sure Thing" (1985), "Better Off Dead…" (1985), "Say Anything" (1989) and "The Gifters" (1990).  He studied for one year at New York University before dropping out and deciding to pursue a fulltime career in acting.
 
Along with working as a film actor, Cusack also returned to the theater industry and produced as well as directed a couple shows for a Chicago-based theater group, The new Criminals.  In addition, he started a film company with two old friends called, New Crime productions.  His company produced such films as, "Grosse Pointe Blank" (1997), "Chicago Cab" (1997), "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (1998) "High Fidelity" (2000) and "Grace Is Gone" (2007) among others. 
 
Other film credits he has added to his resume over he course of his career are roles in, "Con Air" (1997), "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" (1997), "Being John Malkovich" (1999) and "High Fidelity" (2000).
 
Throughout his career he has received a number of honors such as being chosen by Empire Magazine as, "One of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars in the World" in 2007.
 
His most recent film roles include, "War, inc" (2008), "Igor" (2008), "Hot Tub Time Machine" (2010), "The Factory" (2011) and soon to release in 2012, "The Raven", "The Paperboy", "The Numbers Station", "The Frozen Ground", "Adult World" and "Carnaval".
 
Cusack currently has homes in Chicago and Malibu, California.  he has not married nor does he have any children.  For over twenty years, he has trained in kick boxing and holds the rank of Level 6 black belt.
