JEFF GOLDBLUM BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Jeff Goldblum was born on October 22nd, 1952 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania with the middle name Lynn, born to parents Shirley and Harold L. Goldblum.  He had two siblings a younger sister, Pamela and an older brother, Rick who passed away at the age of twenty three from kidney failure.  After graduating from Taylor Allderice High School in Pittsburgh, he decided to relocate to New York City and began working in the entertainment industry as a stage actor.
 
He began with studying acting at the New York Neighborhood Playhouse under coach, Sanford Meisner.  He made his Broadway debut in the musical, "Two Gentlemen of Verona". 
 
Goldblum soon broke into the film industry with roles in such features as, "Death Wish" (1974) starring Charles Bronson and the television movie, "Columbo A Case of Immunity" (1975).  When he was cast in he film, "Annie Hall" (1977) his career began to take off. 
 
Other film roles soon followed such as, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978), "The Big Chill" (1983), "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension" (1984), "Into the Night" (1985), "The Fly" (1986), "Transylvania 6-5000" (1985) and "Earth Girls Are Easy" (1988).
 
As his career in films progressed he starred in some highly successful films, "Jurassic Park" (1993), "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" (1997), "Independence Day" (1996), "Igby Goes Down" (2002), "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zossou" (2004) and a role on the television series, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001).
 
In addition to his acting career he is also a member of a jazz band called, "The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra".  They perform throughout local nightclubs in Los Angeles.  He has also taught acting classes at the Playhouse West in North Hollywood and for a number of years he did voice over work a number of Apple commercials, iMac, iBook, Toyota and Proctor & Gamble's facial cream line.
 
Jeff has married twice throughout his lifetime, first to Patricia Gaul from 1980 through 1986.  He then married Geena Davis in 1987 but this marriage also came to an end in 1990.  From 1995 through 1997 he was engaged to Laura Dern, but he has not re-married nor does he have any children of his own.
