JAIME KING BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Jaime King was born on April 23rd, 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska born to Nancy and Robert King. Her mother was a former beauty queen and it was no wonder she took after her mother with her appearance. Her parents divorced in 1994 and at this time, King was already pursuing a modeling career. She was enrolled at Nancy Bounds' modeling school and was studying at Westside High School, however she soon dropped out of high school to pursue a career as modeling.
She relocated to New York City and began by joining Company Management. She began her career being credited by her childhood nickname James since there was already a famous fashion model by the name of Jamie Rishar who was also represented by her same agency.
Her first real successful modeling job was an advertisement for Abercrombie & Fitch. By the age of sixteen she had appearing in such fashion magazines as, Vogue, Mademoiselle and Harper's Bazaar. She was also walking the fashion runway for such companies as Chanel and Christian Dior.
Soon she began to break into the acting side of the industry with commercial work and working as a spokesmodel for the company, Revlon followed by Jay-Z Rocawear line where she was chosen as the new face.
When she broke into the acting industry she was first cast in the film, "Happy Campers" and "Blow" (both 2001). Her big film role was that same year in, "Pearl Harbor" (2001) followed two years later with her starring role in "Bulletproof Monk" (2003).
She also made an appearance in Robbie Williams music video, "Sexed Up" and was placed on the cover of the album. As her career progressed she worked in television as well as film. Some of her more recent film roles have been in, "Sin City" (2005), "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" (2005), "Two for the Money" (2005), "They Wait" (2007), "The Spirit" (2008), "A Fork in the Road" (2010), "The Pardon" (2011) and "Love Bites" (2011).
King's television credits include, "The O.C." (2005), "Kitchen Confidential" (2005-2006), "The Class" (2006-1007), "Gary Unmarried" (2008-2009) and "Star Wars; The Clone Wars" ( 2009-2010).
Jamie King has married only once to Kyle Newman whom she wed in 2007 and they remain married today but have yet to have any children together. Although she has said in interviews that she hopes to have three children and when she retires from the industry she wants to pursue a career as a writer or photographer.
