DIANA MULDAUR BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Diana Muldaur was born on August 19th, 1938 in New York City, New York with the birth name Diana Charlton Muldaur. Her family relocated to Martha's Vineyard where she was raised and it was during her years in high school that she first became interested in acting.
After graduating from high school she earned her college degree from Sweet Briar College in Virginia in 1960. She then relocated to New York and began working as a stage actress.
Since gaining some experience as a stage actress she began taking on some television roles on such series as, "Dr. Kildare" (1966), "Hawk" (1966), "Gunsmoke" (1967), "I Spy" (1968), "Bonanza" (1968), "The Invaders" (1968) and one of her most well known roles on, "Star Trek" (1968).
Along with working as a stage and television actress she also appeared in a number of films such as, "Number One" (1969), "The Other" (1972), "One More Train to Rob" (1971), "The Lawyer" (1970), "Cry for Justice" (1977) and "Chosen Survivors" (1974).
Muldaur also appeared in a variety of television movies such as, "Hog Wild" (1974), "Pine canyon is Burning" (1977), "The Miracle Worker" (1979), "Terror at Alcatraz" (1982), "Murder in Three Acts" (1986) and "The Return of Sam McCloud" (1989).
Some of her more recent roles have been in the television series, "Perry Mason" (1991), "Empty Nest" (1992) and "Batman" (1992-1993). She also appeared on, "L.A. Law" (1991) for which she received two Emmy nominations for her role as lawyer, Rosalind Shays.
Along with her acting career she was also the first woman to serve as president of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences between 1983 and 1985.
Diane has been married twice. Her first husband was James Vickery whom she wed in 1969 and they were together until he passed away on October 19th, 1979. She then married Robert Dozier in 1981 and they remain married today. She has never had any of her own children and after she was diagnosed with cancer in 1991 she relocated back to Martha's Vineyard with her husband and enjoys golfing, skiing and is a Airedale Terriers breeder and judge for dog shows.
