DEWEY MARTIN BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Dewey Martin was born on December 8th, 1923 in Katemcy, Texas. In 1946 he began to pursue a career in the acting industry starting first with performing as a stage actor. Soon he was adding a number of film credits to his resume such as, "Knock on Any Door" (1949), "The Thing from Another World" (1951), "The Big Sky" (1952) starring Kirk Douglas, "The Desperate Hours" (1955) starring Humphrey Bogart and Frederic March and "Ten Thousand Bedrooms" (1957) starring Dean Martin, Anna Maria Alberghetti and Eva Bartok.
Along with his film work later in life he also made a number of television appearances on such series as, "The Twilight Zone", "The Outer Limits", "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color", "Front Row Center", "Studio 57", "Climax!", "Laramie", "Burke's Law", "I Spy", "Lassie", "Hawaii Five-O" and "The F.B.I.".
Dewey Martin married twice, first briefly to Margaret Ann Havelhurst and when this marriage came to an end he then wed singer Peggy Lee in 1956 and they were together until 1959. He has not re-married, nor does he have any children of his own. His final role was in 1978 on the television series, "Police Story".
