DAVID SOUL BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
 
David Soul was born on August 28th, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois with the birth name David Richard Solberg.  Over the course of his career he has made quite a name for himself as a recoding artist and actor.
 
His career began when after high school at the age of twenty four, Soul joined a North Dakota musical revue where a talent scout took notice of him and soon he was signed to a contract. 

After studying acting with the Irene Daly School of The Actors Company, Soul began to break into the television industry.
 
Some of his early roles included appearances on the series, "I Dream of Jeannie", "Flipper", "All in the Family" and "Here Come the Brides" co-starring Robert Brown, Bobby Sherman, Bridget Hanley and Joan Blondell.  One of his most successful roles was as, Kenneth Hutchinson on the series, "Starsky and Hutch" (1975) opposite Paul Michael Glaser.  

Along with working as a television actor, Hollywood was taking notice of his talents and he was adding film roles to his credits as well.  Some of his more well known roles included, "Magnum Force" (1973) starring Clint Eastwood, Hal Holbrook, Mitch Ryan, Felton Perry, Robert Urich and Tim Matheson, "Dog Pound Shuffle" (1975), "The Stick Up" (1977), "Appointment with Death" (1988), "Tides of War" (1990) and "Starsky and Hutch" (2004).

Other television appearances include, "Star Trek", "Cannon", "The Rookies", "Medical Center", "All in the Family", "Gunsmoke", "Casablanca", "The Yellow Rose", "Crime Story", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "Holby City".
 
Soul continued to tour as a stage actor in addition to working in Hollywood.  He has also recorded four albums with such hit singles as, Don't Give Up On Us, Silver Lady, Going In with my Eyes Open, Let's have a Quiet Night In and "It Sure Brings Out the Love in Your Eyes.

David Soul has married a total of five times.  His first wife was Miriam Russeth-Solberg whom he wed in 1964 and they had one child together before the marriage came to an end in 1965.  His second wife was, Karen Carlson from 1968 through 1977, also having one child together.  He then married for a third time to Patti Carmel Sherman and they had three children before also ending their marriage.  His fourth wife was in 1987 to Julia Nickson and again he had one child with her before another marriage ended in divorce in 1993.  In 2010, he chose to wed once again to Helen Snell.

Most recently he has appeared on the television movie, "Mermaids: The Body Found" (2011), the television series, "Inspector Lewis" (2012) and currently he is filming for, "Payne & Redemption" set to release in 2014.
