CHERYL LADD BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Cheryl Ladd was born on July 12th, 1951 in Huron, South Dakota with the birth name Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor to parents Marion and Dolores.  Her entertainment career first began in 1970 with a move to Hollywood to pursue a career in music.  Soon after, Ladd was being cast in a variety of commercials and television roles where she was not needed to use her singing talent.
 
Some of her television appearances were on such series as, "The Rookies", "The Partridge Family" and "Happy Days".  Cheryl Ladd became known best for her role as the character, Kris Munroe on the television series, "Charlie's Angels" for which she was hired in 1977 to replace Farrah Fawcett-Majors and Ladd remained with the series until it was cancelled in 1981. 
 
She continued to act but also wanted to share her musical talent with her fans.  In 1980 she was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl XIV.  She also continued to record music, releasing three different albums.
 
Along with her music career and television career, Ladd also worked as a stage performer on Broadway in such productions as, "Annie Get Your Gun".  Cheryl Ladd also appeared on the big screen in such features as, "Purple Hearts", "Millennium and "Poison Ivy".
 
Ladd has been married twice, her first husband was David Ladd whom she wed in 1973 and had one child together, Jordan, before the marriage ended in divorce in 1980.  She then married her current husband, Brian Russell in 1981 and they couple remains together today.  

Some of her latest television appearances have been guest starring roles on, "Charmed", "Hope and Faith", "CSI: Miami" and the drama series, "Las Vegas".  In 2010 she was seen in the television movie, "Love's Everlasting Courage". 
 
In 1996 she published a children's book called, "The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship" and then in May 2005 she released her autobiography, "Token Chick: A Woman's Guide to Golfing with the Boys".  She is also a celebrity ambassador for the child abuse prevention and treatment organization called, Childhelp.
