CARL WEATHERS BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Carl Weathers was born on January 14th, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  After excelling in football in high school he enrolled at San Diego State and played college football and later went on to play for the Oakland Raiders.  In 1974 he decided it was time to retire from playing professional football and began embarking on a new career as an actor.
 
Some of his earlier career roles were in such films as, "Friday Foster" (1975) and "Bucktown" (1975).  It was just a matter of time before Hollywood began to take notice of him and he was cast in the film, "Rocky" (1976) starring Sylvester Stallone, playing Apollo Creed for which he later on repeated the role in three other "Rocky" films.
 
As his career progressed he continued to grace the big screen with roles in such features as, "Predator' (1987), "Action Jackson" (1988) and four of the "In the Heat of the Night" series on television in 1988. 
 
Some of his more recent roles have been in, "Happy Gilmore" (1996), "Assault on Death Mountain" (1999) and the television series, "Cubed" (2009), "Brothers" (2009), "Chadam" (2010), "Psych" (2010) and "Regular Show" (2011).
 
Along with working as an actor and having a professional football career he is also a member of the Big Brothers Association and works with the United States Olympics Committee handling various athletes careers. 
 
Carl has married three times throughout his lifetime.  His first wife was Mary Ann Castle whom he wed in 1973 and after having two children this marriage came to an end in 1983.  He then married Rhona Unsell in 1984 however this marriage did not last either.  His third wife was Jennifer Peterson whom he wed in 2007 and two years later this marriage also came to an end.  He has not re-married and only has two biological children.
