ANNE HECHE BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:
Anne Heche was born on May 25th, 1969 in Aurora, Ohio with the middle name Celeste. She was the youngest born of four children and grew up in a dis-functional family were her father often had no income and also lived a double life as a homosexual. She also claims that up until the age of twelve she was raped by her father frequently and the family moved a total of eleven times before she was even twelve years old.
They finally settled in New Jersey and lived in poverty. At the age of thirteen, her father passed away from AIDS and not too long after, her one brother, Nate, committed suicide. Her mother, Nancy, decided to relocate the rest of the family to Chicago and Anne attended Francis W. Parker School, where she first began to get involved with theater.
A talent agent attended a production at her school and wanted to cast Anne the television soap opera, "As the World Turns", however, she was only sixteen at the time and her mother insisted she finish high school before doing any professional acting.
In 1987, she graduated from high school and traveled to New York City and was cast in another soap opera, "Another World" which she worked as a regular cast member for four years, and won a Daytime Emmy for, "Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series".
She then relocated to Los Angeles and began working in the film industry with her debut on, "The Adventures of Huck Finn" (1993) followed by a more prominent role on the television movie, "If These Walls Could Talk" (1996).
Soon she was adding such film credits as, "Donnie Brasco" (1997), "Volcano" (1997), "Wag the Dog" (1997), "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997), "Six Days Seven Nights" (1998) and "Return to Paradise" (1998).
Sadly, media attention had put a lot of focus on her bi-sexual relationship with famous actress and talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres and leading roles were not longer being offered to her. She remained working in the industry with only supporting roles on such feature films as, "Psycho" (1998), "The Third Miracle" (1999) and "Auggie Rose" (2000).
She then ended her relationship with DeGeneres and became involved with cameraman, Coleman 'Coley' Laffoon. She was cast on the television series, "Ally McBeal" in 2001 and that same year, Anne released a memoir titled, "Call Me Crazy" where she described in detail her horrible childhood and how she claimed she was insane for the first thirty one years of her life.
Other supporting roles she added to her resume were on the film, "Birth" (2004) and recurring roles on the television shows, "Everwood" (2002) and "Nip/Tuck" (2003). For the most part, she began to focus on only television work starring in the series, "Men in Trees" (2006-2008), "Higglytown Heroes" (2005-2006) and "Hung" (2009-2011).
More recently, she has been cast in the films, "Arthur Newman, Golf Pro" (2012), "Nothing to Fear" (2013) and soon to release, "Life at These Speeds". She did end up marrying cameraman Coleman in 2001 and they had one child together before the marriage came to an end in 2009. She has not re-married again but did have more relationships which have gained media attention. She has been involved with her co-star from, "Men in Trees", James Tupper and they have a son together, Atlas Heche Tupper.
