ALEJANDRO REY BIOGRAPHY & FILMOGRAPHY:

Alejandro Rey was born on February 8th, 1930 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  He first established himself as an actor in Argentina making quite a name for himself appearing in a number of films.  
 
In 1960 he immigrated to the United States and by 1967 he became a United States citizen.  Rey is most well known for his roles in the films, "Fun in Acapulco" (1963) starring Elvis Presley, "The Stepmother" (1972) and portraying the casino owner, Carlos Ramirez on, 'The Flying Nun" (1967-1970).
 
Other appearances were on the television series, "Thriller", "The Fugitive", "Days of Our Lives" and "Dallas".  He also succeeded with an amazing performance in 1984 in the film, "Moscow on the Hudson".
 
Along with a successful career in Argentina and the united States he also had the opportunity to experience the other side of the industry working as a director on such television series as, "The Facts of Life", "Forever Fernwood" and "Villa Alegre".
 
Rey married twice throughout his lifetime.  His first wife was Beatriz C. Roberto whom he wed in 1966 and they stayed together for six years.  He then married, Joyce E. Bowman in 1969 and they had one child together before this marriage also ended in 1981.  He then passed away just a couple years later on May 21st, 1987 in Los Angeles, California after suffering from lung cancer.  He is interred at Holy Cross cemetery in Culver City, California.
